Purl Up With A Good Book
I have decided to join a knitting club called, “Knit the Classics” [ KTC Blog ] where each month we read a classic novel while knitting a project. It’s just a wonderful idea, being able to combine two things that I love so much: knitting and reading. They just finished reading Mansfield Park, which I’m actually a little upset that I missed because I do love it so much and I’d love to be able to talk about it a little more with people who are reading it at the same time.

Other than that, I have my swaps that are coming up very soon. I have already started this very cute project from knitty.com [ Wisp ] that everyone should check out and consider trying to make. It goes very quickly and it’s so nice and delicate and just such a great idea for a project! The more I explore the online knitting life, the more I find that I want to do! I never knew there were trips you could take and just knit! I think that’s just a wonderful idea and I so wish that I had the money to participate in such a vacation. Alas, I am just a broke college student spending every last penny on yarn and nothing else.
I think that’s all that I’m going to write about for tonight. I’m about to head out and play with Poncho [ my all-time favorite pet Macaw! ] and of course his owner Josh as well. Some people are just so touchy and get offended if you say that the reason you want to see a person is really just to be able to hang out with their pet bird. So silly.

Knitty Knit-A-Long
So, I just wanted everyone to know that I’ve made my very first Knit-A-Long [ here ], and I’d love if everyone would come and join if you’d like to!
Other than that, I’ve joined a bunch of swaps that I’m VERY excited about and can’t wait to get started. They are going to be so much fun I just wish they’d all start right now! lol =)
I think that’s all I’ve got for the night. Hope everyone is having a great week. I’ll be on pretty soon to start posting about my knit-a-longs and swaps.
Keep the Needles Moving,
Maddie
